After a short career in Engineering, I quickly came to the realization that I needed to go back to my first love - HEALTH! My background includes fitness and nutrition (almost 30 yrs), both on a personal and professional level; therefore, Massage Therapy became the apparent adjunct modality. I attended New York Institute of Massage in December 1997 and received my NYS License in 1998. Immediately upon licensure, I began my massage career by specializing in therapeutic/medical based massage. I've worked with athletes (high school, collegiate and professional). dancers, house wives, students, senior citizens and even children. Although I have gained the reputation of being able to "fix" anything in your body, I feel my strength lies in the desire and ability to "find" (then "fix") problems in your body before you even realize they are present. I combine my "engineering thinking" with my massage training to systematically dissect the body to get to the cause of the problem, and not just address the effect. I personally live a holistically healthy lifestyle and constantly provide support to my clients to do the same. With each session, I strive to provide on-going education about your body and how you can implement small but effective changes in your life to allow your body to function at its most optimal level!
